Join international Buddhist meditation teacher Kadam Morten for an evening of inspiration. Learn practical tools to overcome worry and anxiety whilst gaining greater confidence in your own potential. Currrently based in New York City, Kadam Morten has inspired thousands of people throughout the world with his joyful approach to Buddha’s teachings and his ability to present ancient wisdom in a way that easily connects with the lives of modern people. A not to be missed event.
Following on from this talk there will be a 4-week series of classes with Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Togden building on the ideas presented with guided meditations and opportunities to ask questions.

About The Teacher
Kadam Morten Clausen
Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center New York City. For over 30 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave him the title “Kadam,” indicating that he is a senior lay teacher of the Kadampa Tradition.
Kadam Morten is a greatly admired meditation teacher, especially known for his clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts. Kadam Morten met his teacher, Geshe Kelsang, while attending university in England. He taught widely throughout the UK and helped develop many Kadampa Centers in England. Kadam Morten has been teaching in the US for more than 20 years and has established centers throughout the New York area, as well as Washington DC, Virginia, and Puerto Rico.
What to Expect
What will each session consist of?
Each session will include a combination of teachings and guided meditations with an opportunity to ask questions at the end and socialize with like-minded people during the break time.
Do I need to bring anything or wear anything special?
No. All sessions will take place on chairs but there are optional cushions if you prefer to sit cross-legged. You don’t need to bring anything else with you, but some people like to take notes during the session, so feel free to bring a paper and pen.
What if I’m new to this?
Everyone is welcome to participate in this course and will benefit both new and experienced people alike. Our reception staff will happily recommend some follow on reading or classes after the course if you are interested.
