In this half day workshop, open to everyone, Gen Chodor will give an introduction to the beautiful Buddhist meditation practice of Tantra. Tantra is a method to harness the power of our positive imagination and brings about the swiftest inner transformation. We learn meditation techniques to access very peaceful and subtle states of mind that ordinarily we could never experience. By combining our good heart of compassion, together with Tantric meditation, we can discover and accomplish the real meaning of our human life.
This workshop will consist of two guided sessions. In the first session Gen Chodor will explain “What is Tantra?” and what is our Buddha nature according to Tantric teachings, to give us confidence in our potential for spiritual development. In the second session he will guide us in a Tantric practice so that we can gain some practical experience of Tantric meditation.
As preparation and follow on for this course, we highly recommend downloading the free ebook “Modern Buddhism” ~ http://emodernbuddhism.com/download-free-modern-buddhism-ebooks.html, as the meditations we will be practising will be extracted from this book by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, an authentic lineage holder of Buddha’s Tantric teachings.
After this course, for those of you who are interested in learning more about the practice of Tantra, and receiving a Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment, there is an unprecedented opportunity to receive this empowerment and teachings online as part of the NKT Summer festival ~ https://kadampafestivals.org/summer (July 30th – August 14th).
