We all want to improve ourselves and find the peace and happiness that we long for. But to make real progress, we need a clear and practical spiritual path that we can explore with confidence. The 11th Century Indian Buddhist Master called Atisha curated all of Buddha’s 84 thousand teachings into a step-by-step path, called the Lamrim, or “Stages of the Path to Enlightenment”. Many thousands of people since have followed these steps all the way to enlightenment.
The Lamrim teachings are not reserved for just ordained people or mountain yogis: in fact, they are specially designed to be integrated into our daily lives. Understanding the Lamrim demystifies the spiritual path, establishing the internal framework that we need to make real, tangible spiritual progress. Through understanding the Lamrim, we understand clearly how to successfully practice our spiritual path in our busy lives, and in this way we begin to experience our whole life as meaningful and joyful.
In these monthly classes, we will explore the Lamrim stages step-by-step. The focus will be on gaining real liberating experience of these methods, not just intellectual understanding. These sessions are perfect for you if you want to take the next step on your spiritual journey, or reinvigorate and deepen your spiritual practice, or connect to your real potential and purpose and really experience the peace and happiness that you deserve.
In these classes Henry will go through the Lamrim presentation in the book The Mirror of Dharma. First class will be a teaching, followed by a tea break and discussion time, then Heart Jewel Practice with the guided Lamrim meditation practice.
