Training the Mind Day Retreat
January 18 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm£30
About the Event
“Always rely upon a happy mind alone” – Geshe Checkewa
On retreat we step back from our normal busy routine to focus inwards and find greater happiness and meaning amidst our busy, modern lives. This short retreat with guest teacher, Gen Kelsang Theckchen, will be based on the teachings of Kadam Lojong or Training the mind. They are particularly suited for modern times where distractions are plentiful, time to meditate is minimal and world is becoming increasingly toxic. It is said that although such times can make conventional spiritual practice very difficult, the training the mindpractitioner can transform all these adverse conditions into opportunities for spiritual growth.
