We would all like to have a healthy body and a happy mind, and Buddhism teaches a powerful method for healing both ourselves and others. During this special weekend, our Resident Teacher, Kadam Lucy, will grant the blessing empowerment of Medicine Buddha – the embodiment of the healing power of all enlightened beings, whose function is to liberate living beings from both outer and inner sickness.

Through connecting with Medicine Buddha, we will discover our own pure nature and awaken its indestructible power for transformation. This practice helps us release stress and mental suffering, heal sickness and pain, and cultivate deep inner peace. More and more evidence is pointing to what Buddha taught long ago: the health of our body – and even our world – depends on the health of our mind.

An empowerment is a beautiful ancient Buddhist blessing ritual and guided meditation through which we enter the healing world of an enlightened being and ripen our innate potential for lasting healing of body and mind. The empowerment will take place on Saturday morning, followed by an explanation of a simple, blissful, and profound Medicine Buddha practice on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

By the end of the weekend, you will have practical methods and confidence to heal both yourself and others. Everyone is welcome!
