Where Can We Turn When Life Gets Hard?
3-week course starting 12 August
Week 1 – Aug 11: Where do we find real refuge?
Week 2 – Aug 18: Living with confidence and purpose
Week 3 – Aug 25: Remaining in refuge
Many of the things we rely upon for happiness and security can change unexpectedly, leaving us feeling anxious, disappointed, or lost. Is there anything we can do about this, anything in which we can always find refuge.
This month we will explore Buddha’s teachings on refuge in the Three Jewels — Buddha (like a doctor), Dharma (his teachings, like medicine for our suffering), and Sangha (the supportive spiritual community, like nurses). These three sources of protection always remain stable, whatever else happens in our life.
