In these weekly classes you will learn proven techniques, based on Buddha’s teachings, for calming the mind, becoming more positive and focused, and reducing stress.
Each class begins with simple guided meditation (such as breathing meditation), followed by a practical talk on a topic such as how to make our mind peaceful, how to let go of anger, or how to develop a good heart towards others. In particular, the class will explain a particular method for practically solving our daily problems and improving our relationships with others. Then, the class will conclude with a second meditation on that topic and time for questions and discussion.
These meditation classes are open to everyone, regardless of your background and beliefs. They are suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike and, although presented as part of a series, each class is self-contained – so you can drop in any time. Everybody welcome!

Learn to Meditate | 5-Week Course starting October 20
We all know what it feels like to have a distracted mind. We struggle to focus, our attention is constantly pulled in different directions, and even during meditation our mind is constantly wandering to our to-do list, our dinner plans, and the awkward conversation we had with our colleague.
Luckily, Buddha taught practical methods for developing a still, focussed mind – both in meditation and in daily life. In this practical course, learn how you can reclaim your mental focus through applying these methods. Gradually, we can learn to direct our mind wherever we wish, and uncover the deep peace that arises from a concentrated mind.
This course is perfect for those who are new to meditation, and for experienced meditators who wish to deepen their meditation practice. Everybody welcome!

Week 1 – Nov 24: A balanced mind is a happy mind
Week 2 – Dec 1: Developing a warm heart

Week 4 – Dec 15: Loving Difficult People
We all want happy relationships, yet the people around us can sometimes become a source of frustration, hurt, or stress. Especially during busy and emotionally charged times such as Christmas, maintaining a peaceful heart can feel difficult—or even impossible.
Yet Buddha taught that it is possible to meet every situation with love, patience, and peace. In this practical meditation course, learn how to develop a warm heart, transform relationship challenges into opportunities for inner growth, and discover why the greatest gift we can offer ourselves and others is a peaceful heart. Everybody welcome!
