WEEKEND COURSES & SPECIAL EVENTS
Our weekend courses offer the chance to explore a meaningful topic in greater depth, providing practical inner solutions for daily life. Each session includes guided meditations and clear teachings, with time to relax and connect over refreshments during the breaks. Everyone is welcome – no experience needed.
Kadampa Meditation Centre London (KMC London) hosts accessible Buddhist meditation classes across London, as well as in-depth study programs, retreats, weekend courses, and kids’ classes – six days a week. Open to everyone, these classes provide an ideal setting both for starting and deepening your meditation practice. KMC London also offers membership options, granting access to all classes, both in-person and live-streamed.
Run entirely by volunteers, KMC London is more than just a meditation space – it’s a welcoming community where anyone can learn, grow, and get involved. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to unwind, practical tools for a calmer mind, or a friendly chat with like-minded people, you’re always welcome here.
What will each session consist of?
Each session will include a combination of teachings and guided meditations with an opportunity to ask questions at the end and socialize with like-minded people during the break time.
Do I need to bring anything or wear anything special?
No. All sessions will take place on chairs but there are optional cushions if you prefer to sit cross-legged. You don’t need to bring anything else with you, but some people like to take notes during the session, so feel free to bring a paper and pen.
What if I’m new to this?
Everyone is welcome to participate in this course and will benefit both new and experienced people alike. Our reception staff will happily recommend some follow on reading or classes after the course if you are interested.
